The aim of ALQUIMIA TÉCNICA, S.L. is for its products to be backed up by constant quality. To achieve this and since its foundation, it created the Quality Department, as an independent body, which reports directly to management in order to be involved in all the areas of the company.

Since January 1999 ALQUIMIA TÉCNICA, S.L. satisfies the requirements of the STANDARD UNE-ISO 9001, for quality assurance in design, development, production and installation. The company that certified the quality system, SGS ICS, has an international network of subsidiary companies and its criteria of action are in agreement with the standard 45012 and the EAC guidelines. This means that the certification systems are comparable in the different countries, an essential condition for ALQUIMIA TECNICA, S.L. with an internationalisation policy from the start.

ALQUIMIA TECNICA, S.L. considers it essential to have its own Quality System to ensure:

• The optimisation of the company structure.

• Analysis of "root causes" of quality problems.

• Guarantee a constant quality, with formalised and certified systems.

• Prevention of errors.

• Reduction of non-quality costs.

• Improvement in relations with customers and suppliers.

The current ISO 9001:94 standards are undergoing a review process and the ISO 9001:2000 standard is being prepared. The Quality Department of ALQUIMIA TECNICA, S.L. is preparing a transition plan to adapt its Quality System. The principles whereby this ISO 9001:2000 standard will be governed are: continuous improvement, process management and customer orientation.
